Details of the Job: BNHS is working on Vulture conservation Breeding programme to save three critically endangered species from extinction. BNHS has set three Conservation Breeding Centers in the country (Pinjor in Haryana, Raja Bhatt Khawa in West Bengal and Rani in Assam). BNHS wants to employ two veterinarians for the programme on contract basis. This position is temporary for the period of one year but it is likely to be extended up to five years.
Position: Veterinarians for Vulture Conservation Breeding Programme
Qualifications: 1. Candidate should have first class bachelor's degree from recognized university or from an institution of veterinary science.
2. Should have interest in Wild life conservation
3. Should be prepared to work independently.
4. Candidates with clinical experience in working with wild birds and animals is given more preference.
5. Candidate should be physically fit as the work involves lot of field work.
Job description: The job involves taking care of the health of the captive vultures. This is a very challenging job and gives scope to work with the best in the field internationally.
Location: Selected candidates would be required to report to our field station at Pinjore, Haryana ( Near Chandigarh). After completing the training they would be responsible for any other vulture field station of BNHS.
Age: Age should be below 32 years.
Remuneration: Basic package of Rs. 3 lac per-annum for veterinarian on the cost to the society basis. The candidate is provided free bachelor's accommodation and free transportation facility to the work site.
